Because we’re an expert and upscale landscape design company, we have what you need to keep your home looking its best. Nothing quite brings a residence together during the holidays like a beautiful Christmas tree. Here are a few useful tips for picking out the best Christmas tree!

Measure The Space Where You’ll Put The Tree

Not many things beat the devastation of coming home to find out that your Christmas tree is too tall for your home. Also, a small Christmas tree can make a space look void and empty. Before figuring out what kind of tree you want, make sure you know how tall your ceiling is.

Be Decisive About What You Want

Each tree species differs, so to find the best Christmas tree, make sure that it matches your needs and the needs of your household. In the case of a home with small children, a pine tree or fur tree may be the better option because they have softer needles. Adults can benefit as well from not stepping on sharp needles.

Check How Fresh the Tree Is

The first step to checking a tree’s freshness is looking at its trunk. The trunk should be slightly sticky. The second step is to attempt to snap a needle in half. A fresh fir tree’s needles will snap. In the case of pine tree needles, they will bend and should not break.

Secure Needles Means That A Tree Will Last Longer

To test if your tree will last long, grab the inside of a branch and pull your hand towards you. The needles should stay in place. You can also gently tap the tree. If a few needles fall off, that’s normal. If a lot of needles fall to the ground, then you should keep looking for another tree.

Check the Color of the Tree

If you notice that a tree is a dull-gray green, this most likely means that the tree has dried out. Look for a vibrant green tree to beautify your home. The greener the tree, the better.
